Home Hub
The Home Hub is a pre-built device that connects your HVAC, water heater, EV charger and battery to one optimized schedule. The optimizer builds tomorrow’s plan every night; the Hub runs it on its own hardware.
Below is what ships with the first units. The Hub is factory-provisioned before it reaches you, so there’s genuinely little else to read; deeper reference material lands once units are in customers’ hands.
What’s in the box
Section titled “What’s in the box”One small appliance, plugged into power and your network. Inside, it runs a full home-automation stack that we assemble, test and update as a single unit: the engine that reaches your Z-Wave and Matter devices, a local broker so a Satellite in the same house can attach to it instead of connecting on its own, and our own interface on top. You never see or manage that stack directly — the Hub presents its own dashboard, not a home-automation platform for you to learn.
First boot
Section titled “First boot”The Hub arrives already set up for your account. There’s no onboarding wizard to click through and no integrations to install — plug it into power and your network, and it starts running. From there, connecting your machines to it is the same one-time step every route uses; see Choose your path.
The kiosk client
Section titled “The kiosk client”Touchscreen units boot straight into the Hub’s own dashboard, full-screen — the same screen you’d reach from a phone or laptop on the network. Headless units skip the touchscreen and use that same dashboard from any device.
Keeping it updated
Section titled “Keeping it updated”Nothing on the Hub updates itself piece by piece, and there’s no plugin store on it to manage. When we ship a change, it goes out as one tested bundle for the whole box, the same way the Hub arrived — one update authority, one thing to trust.
